- Salary/price ranges — the minimum and maximum values you enter for offers and submissions.
- Session data — server-side session identifiers to keep you logged in.
- Basic request data — IP address and browser information in server logs for security and rate limiting.
How we use your data
- To operate the double-blind negotiation service: matching ranges, sending notifications, and displaying results.
- To authenticate you via magic links or email and password.
- To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse (rate limiting).
- We never share your salary or price range with the other party unless a match (overlap) is detected.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Session and security — we use cookies that Rails sets for your browsing session (for example to keep you signed in after you authenticate) and for CSRF protection on forms.
- Cookie notice preference — when you dismiss the bottom-of-screen notice, we store that choice in your browser’s local storage so we do not show the notice again until you clear site data.
Third-party services
- Email delivery — we use a transactional email provider to send magic links, notifications, and password reset emails.
- Payment processing — when paid plans become available, payments will be processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card details.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time from your account settings, which will permanently remove your account and all associated data.
